RELEASING THE POWER
OF ENCOURAGEMENT

AN INITIATIVE OF

$100,000 in practical help, and priceless encouragement!

A seasoned farmer was recently telling us about his experiences over a lifetime on the land. There were good times for sure. But there were also droughts, floods and fires too. But through it all, he told us that he’s maintained real peace and joy. How? By taking his eyes off the problem, looking to God in prayer, and through the encouragement and help of others. That conversation sparked a question. What if we could not only give practical help, but also release the power of encouragement in the middle of our current drought?

PROJECT BOOST was born as a partnership of Vision Christian Radio, Samaritan’s Purse and rural churches.

Helping rural churches reach out

The farmer in this story has provided funding to purchase $100,000 worth of grocery gift cards as “seeds of kindness” to be shared across drought stricken Australia through churches. Samaritan’s Purse Australia will be reaching out to it’s supporters so as to purchase additional gift cards over and above the initial $100,000. This amazing act of generosity will bring a boost in several ways;

Helping local churches to reach out with encouragement, prayer, and some very practical help. It will lift the spirits of those affected by drought, and as the cards are spent in local stores it will boost local business.

Calling all churches in drought areas

Rural churches are invited to use Project Boost to create opportunities to connect with people doing it tough in the drought, to encourage them and give some practical help too. Here’s how;

You can use the delivery as an opportunity to connect, offer some words of encouragement, and pray and offer further help where possible. Full details are on the application form on the Samaritan’s Purse website.

Another way to bring hope in the hard times

This special magazine features 60 pages of encouraging articles, hope-filled readings from The Word for Today, and more.

Please Pray With Us

When times are tough it’s easy to keep our eyes on the problem.

So every day throughout October, we’re inviting you to lift your eyes with us to The Lord as we stop and pray for rain and for our nation.

 Multiple times throughout each day on Vision Christian Radio you’ll have the opportunity to join with us and thousands of others, simultaneously asking God to break the physical and spiritual drought facing Australia.
